Background
I’ve built two companies from nothing as the first technical person in the room. At Ellevest I was the founding CTO under Sallie Krawcheck, and we went from first commit to accepting our first client deposit in about five months. At YvesBlue I co-founded the company, wrote the prototype that won our first major client, and grew the team from myself alone through hires across engineering, product, design, and data science while we raised $5M+.
Most recently at SmallWorld I joined with a team of five engineers and ended up carrying the full technical surface myself. I moved the product onto React on a new versioned API, cut cloud spend by more than half, and ran the SOC 2 program through two Type 2 audits.

Re-platformed the product from server-rendered Rails onto React across seven surfaces. Rebuilt search on Elasticsearch, taking response times from over 30 seconds to under 5. Cut cloud spend 55 to 60%. Ran SOC 2 through two Type 2 audits.

Co-founder and CTO. Built the prototype that won our first major client. Built the ETL pipeline ingesting tens of thousands of records nightly from Refinitiv Datastream and others, plus the entity resolution layer behind it. Took the company through its first SOC 2.

CTO. Platform served 25,000+ concurrent visitors per minute. Migrated Rails 2 to Rails 5 and built the real-time KPI data pipeline.
